Provillus - does it work against hair loss?

I wrote before about how my husband is losing some of his hair and what we’re doing to stop his hair loss. Currently, he’s using something called Minoxidil in a foam form, and it seems he’s not shedding quite as much anymore. Just now, I got an email from an old friend about a product called Provillus and I found some Provillus reviews as well.
Essentially, Provillus is a pill that helps provide the proper nutrition to the dying hair follicles that are the cause behind the hair loss. The ingredients are Vitamin B6, Biotin, Magnesium, Zinc, Saw Palmetto, Nettle root, Gotu Kola, Pumpkin (Cucurbita Maxima), Eleuthero, Uva-Ursi, and Muria Puama, which are all healthy in their own way. Getting such a health boost in a simple pill certainly won’t hurt.
But does Provillus work OK or not? The product will cost you about $1 per day so it’s a very valid question. The people reviewing the product certainly believe so, for example MK from Chicago says “Tried using the minoxidel solution but way too much scalp irritation only tried that about 4 times. After less than 2 weeks of taking the pills, I have small white hairs popping out where my frontal hairline used to be, pretty amazing.” Those are certainly great results.
My husband doesn’t have a problem with the Minoxidil irritating his scalp, but something in addition certainly won’t hurt, so what we’ll do is add the Provillus pills to the mix and see how it might help re-grow some of the hair he’s already lost.
